Has anyone done a trip with Chicks with Picks? I'm considering a trip with them this winter and would love feedback on others experiences---good or bad.

I've only ice-climbed twice, so I'm hoping to learn a lot, meet some fellow climbers, and of course have fun!

As a man, I haven't personally participated in any Chicks programs. However, I know a number of the women who lead and instruct the programs and they are all top-notch guides and instructors and just generally great people. I can't imagine you'd have a bad time.

RoamFree- I have done multiple chicks courses on ice and rock! I've gone from a complete beginner to leading on rock and ice with the help of chicks. The clinics are stellar, the guides are awesome and you have a chance to make really great connections with other female climbers. Some of the first people I met at my first chicks course are some of my favorite climbing partners 4 yrs later! It is such a great experience, you should really try to go to the complete clinic in January for the best ice experience. Let me know if you have any further specific questions, I'm happy to chat.

My mom has done multiple sessions with them and can't recommend them enough.

Add another positive vote. I know and/or am friends with many of the guides, including the new owners, and all are top notch climbers, guides, instructors, and people. My wife and a number of friends have done Chicks and all have had a great time and great instruction.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
