If you are a midwestern climber come on up to the sugarloaf in Winona, MN and help show that the climber user group is for real and here to stay. Taking ownership of our public lands and making them better is one of the most powerful messages we can send to land managers! The MCA & WSU OERC will be providing a grill and food up at the crag as well! Also, come and sample some of the new routes that have been developed in the recent months! The sugarloaf is quickly becoming a great training ground for beginner to intermediate sport climbers. We are hoping to really make this park an example of the climber user group being a significant benefit to land managers.Work to be done on Saturday includes: removal of an enormous amount of buckthorn and treating it, rapping down the lower cliffs and hauling out trash and old lighting fixtures, removing graffiti, and some trail improvements to keep hikers on one trail. Its gonna be fun and we will create some major changes! We hope to see you there!
