Speculator NY ice?

Anybody know of any ice climbing around the Speculator NY area. I know Snowy Mtn is in that area but have no idea about it's ice potential. If any one out there on the interweb could help a brotha looking to get some late season ice action in it would be appreciated.

There is a waterfall by Speculator that's not on any new map. Long approach, WI3ish. I honestly don't remember the name anymore. Took us forever to find that fucker. It's probably out by now.

thanks divamite, I figured alot of stuff might be out by now. I was hoping for something in the shade and north facing oh well I still got my topo maps may a late winter/ early spring recon mission is in order. Thanks for responding.

Doesn't echo cliff have some ice routes? It's by Pisco lake, no?

Starbuck mnt up north of north river before Indian lake. Check the route database on here.

T Lake Falls is a long backcountry route down the road in Piseco, but the main line is likely just a steep ski descent this time of the year...there are steeper 1 pitch lines to climbers right, but it would be a looong way to ski and get "skunked" (but that's all part of the adventure...)

Yes, T Lake Fall is the name. It's a pretty nice ice route when it's in.

Google Little Cathead Mt just off the Upper Benson Rd outside Northville. There's a small cliffband above Woods Lake (maybe halfway up the mountainside) that gets ice. It faces SW and so may be toast, but who knows with this winter. There's 5 lines there (+/-) all 40 ft or so but mostly real steep.

Woods Lake lies at the edge of Lapland Lake XC Center which is a great way to spend part of the day, if you ski. Or the whole day, if the ice isn't worthwhile.
