lodging around North Conway

other than the motels in the area, where do people stay for cheap?
looking to head down next weekend!

If you have a car then the hostel is a good deal. It's about 5 miles south of North Conway (in Conway) and it's ~$25 as another poster said. Are you climbing with a climbing school? Sometimes they have discount referral deals that will knock another couple bucks off.

Rooms are clean and alright, big common area, big full kitchen with a refrigerator and food storage space.

Check out the Nereledge inn. Good rooms, great wood stoves, good breakfasts. Walking distance to Horsefeathers and other local beer and food spots.

If you have a few bucks this place has one room studio deals that are detached from the inn and outback. They are little mini homes but very nicely done and not just a converted shed! The place is a stones throw from IME and and Frontside. If you like a cozy bed nice sheets and clean everything this is your place. Feels like home, not overly fancy and not roughing it at all.

If you don't have much $$$ I think this place is $67 a night with tax. For the price it can't be beat. It's clean and 10 minutes from all the climbing in Crawford notch and about 20 minutes fron North Conway. The only thing more climber friendly is floor space at a fellow climbers house..

Moat Mountain Brewery kicks ass. Never stayed at the Inn but have had PLENTY of beer there.

We stayed at Nereledge recently. Only 5 minutes away from Repentance/Cathedral ledge and walking distance to the bars and IME.

check out airbnb. i was just up there this past weekend and we each paid $15/person per night. that being said, the lady we stayed with was extremely rude, and we have never felt so unwelcome anywhere. but hey, it was $15/person.
