suggestions for easy aid cracks at Red Rocks

Taking a trip to Red Rocks and then Joshua Tree. Hoping to introduce aid climbing to a friend so looking for single pitch, easy straight forward clean aid crack, ideally with bolt anchors at the end. Not looking for multipitch climbs, though the first pitch would work, just something straight forward he can learn from. Suggestions? Mark

was a fun crack. though I am sure there are single pitch cracks that are closer to the road, have more around them, etc...

Save the aid practice for Josh, where there are hundreds of good candidates close to the road and the rock is less likely to get messed up from aiding. Even clean aid has carabiners scraping the rock under tension, which will damage sandstone fairly easily, while Josh rock will be fine.

Scraping the rock in Red Rocks often uncovers light colored rock underneath the dark varnish.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
