Way Rambo parking

Help an out-of-towner understand. Where should we be parking for Way Rambo? At the fork as directed in Kelley's book or at the cattle gate/guard like it says on MP? We played it safe and parked at the fork but felt like suckers when we watched 6 other vehicles pass us and park atthe gate.

Parking at the fork is what we do, it’s a nice walk.

also says:

Reminder: park for Way Rambo at the junction of the road down to Pistol Whipped (CR1041). Please don't park at the cattle gate as doing so impedes Dugout Ranch when they need to move cattle between pastures. Parking at the proper place adds 100 yards to the walk and does not risk an access issue. Nov 26, 2017

Matt - I saw that comment as well. If true, the description should be updated.

The description on MP sucks. There is a spot at the base of the wall off the 1041 park there. You won’t impede any ranching operations if you park there. Park on the left in the obvious large parking spot….The park at the fork is for folks going to Bio/ pregnant woman crag.

By the way I believe at the time the Kelley book was published there was not a gate at the cattle guard, at the base of the wall so people were going over the cattle guard then parking. You can’t do this now as there is a locked gate there.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
