Swollen, painful forearm hours after hangboard

So I did my usual hangboard workout this morning and am having an issue. Currently I’ve been doing half-crimps on 10 mm holds, I moved on to this about two weeks ago after doing 15 mm. I had no discomfort this morning but by this afternoon, my left forearm is swollen and painful but not bruised. The weird thing is, though my wrist is a little sore, my fingers themselves don’t hurt at all. I’m not up on the science of finger strength and am hoping someone can fill me in on what the hell is going on and what I should do about it. Thanks!

Less hangboarding, more climbing outside.

Not medical advice, but get a massage. Have them focus on your arms, hands, shoulders. It helps me recover when my forearms feel swollen. For me, the swelling also affects my ulnar nerve. After each massage I feel 100% better and climb better for a couple weeks until it's time for another one.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
