Little River Canyon cell service and camping

Hello, I'm about to head Little River Canyon in Alabama for my first time this weekend. Any tips on the free primitive camping the book vaguely points out? Also, does anyone know if Verizon cell service works there? Also, if you're Climbing there to this weekend let me know. Thank you!

I called the National Park and the State Park, both said there is no free camping in Little River Canyon.
