Mammoth Area Hot Springs - Winter Camping Allowed/Accessible?

Does anybody know if the gates to Wild Willy's and any/all of the other hot springs off Benton Crossing Rd are still accessible around this time of year? Thinking of car camping near one later this month. I know when the roads are extra muddy they will close the gate to Willy's...

There won't be gates closing access, and getting there is at your own risk. Getting a tow out of there, even if just off the pavement is around $500.
