DIY replacement for connect adjust rubber ring
|
Hi all, |
|
I don't use the rubber ring so that's one solution... |
|
I'd go to auto supply store to look at rubber tubing. |

The goal of the ring is to keep the carabiner aligned. There are a number of anti-crossloading carabiners that have the same goal, so you could use one of those. |

Been using my Connect Adjust for a few years, and I've not used the ring since day one. Never found a need for it even though I just use a regular locking carabiner. |

I use a half inch rubber grommet |

That rubber ring is annoying, it belongs in the trash anyway. |

For a similar purpose, I've used those thick black rubber bungee cords, cut a piece off and cut a hole in it. |

The petzl Tanga is what you're looking for. |
