easiest places for finding partners at the crag

I know the Gunks. Are there any other climbing areas where it is easy to show up and find partners?

Any crowded single pitch area is pretty easy. May help if we know where you lived and how far you were willing to go. 

I live in El Chorro Spain but I will be in the US for most of Oct and can go anywhere. I will definitely be between NY and DC
I don't know any single pitch places. Can you suggest some?
I have climbed Daks, gunks, Cathedral  with partners and I love all of them but hard to find partners at Cathredral and Daks

also a few small places in CT and MA (but none of those were memorable)

If you're in DC, a trip to the New River Gorge would be worth it. Unbelievable single pitch climbing

Bathroom at the truck stop closest to the climbing area. Convention is that you tap your foot to let everyone know you're looking for a belay buddy.

i've found random partners at rumney and cathedral. at rumney, pick a group that has an odd number. at cathedral, i met people at the north end.

I will be in the daks the weekend of the 5th of october.

Also will be visiting family in Western CT the weekend of the 12th of october if you want to go to St Johns ledges in Kent. 

Stay at any aac  campground, and be social. Also the bivy at smith.  Basically any climbers campground. Easy  to find partners  at rrg,  Miguel 's  or linda's
