Looking for a ride to big sandy trailhead.

My friend and I are looking for the best way to get to the big sand trail head from rocksprings after we fly in as we canot rent a car because we are under 21. 

There are hiker shuttle services, google “wind river hiker shuttles” and something will come up. Also try the various horse/donkey/llama packers, give em a call and offer a day or two of unpleasant labor in exchange for work. With any luck one of them will be in town doing a store run and you can work something out. 

You'd probably make it hitchhiking...eventually.  When are y'all heading out that way?

We’re mostly looking to see if anyone else is making the trip that’d like to carpool, shuttle prices went up this spring and gotco ends up being 250 each way for two people. A little steep so we’re exploring other options

Your best bet would be to find someone coming from SLC who doesn't know it's faster to go through Kemmerer; maybe try posting this in the Utah forum as well?. Good luck
