Climbing in Sicily May 20th-25th: Beta, partners, suggestions welcome

Hey Friends,

I am going to be staying in Palermo for just under a week at the end of May and am hoping to link up with some folks to do some climbing. I will likely only bring a harness, shoes and a gri although I can probably bring up some draws if I know I have a solid partner with a rope. I will be 4 1/2 months out of shoulder surgery and likely not be pulling on anything hard but I imagine I will be able to throw some moderate leads up as well as being a solid 5.15 belayer. I would love any beta on areas, routes, ethics, local watering holes, snide comments etc etc.

You do not want to miss San Vito lo Capo!  There's a section here on MP which can barely do justice to the unbelievable vibe of the place overall.  Plan to stay for a while.  The beaches, especially at Zingaro, are... mindboggling.  ;-)  Enjoy!
