Red Rock climbs for Small Kids

Heading to Red Rocks with a crew at the end of March. Most days my wife and I will be trading off child care duty with the other going climbing, but our 4.5 year old has said she wants to do some climbing too while we're there. She's climbed a fair bit in the gym, and done a couple easy routes at the New (WV) so it's not brand new to her. I'm wondering if anyone has advice on routes that would be good for someone three and a half feet tall. I can do a search for easy routes, but sometimes they're easy if you're adult-sized but very difficult for kids due to hold spacing, etc. Alternatively, some routes are easier for kids with small hands since a 1" edge is as good as a 4" edge when your fingers are so small. Our plan is that one of us would lead and belay the other and kid as simultaneous seconds - it worked well for us in WV.

Anybody have any recommendations? Sport or trad, up to two or 3 pitches max. We're thinking about Chips and Salsa ( mountainproject.com/route/1…) as one option, or possibly Abby Road ( mountainproject.com/route/1…). Anyone have any experience to comment on either of these routes, or to recommend any others?

You might also visit the Hamlet, the Slab, Scrambler's Wall and the Amusement Park...all at the First Pullout.

Thanks. Any particular routes?

There are a lot of good routes in those areas. Just look them up. And you'll see these are good kid friendly locales.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
