I will miss you, Beau Johnson.

I will miss you, Beau.

I will miss how you referred to the DMM Revolver as the "wheelee".

I will miss that jarring click-clack of your Smart belay device.

I will miss worrying about the ratty dyneema sling with a permanently welded overhand
knot in it that you used for your tether and rap extension.

I'll miss how you would say, "looped, locked, loaded" as you double-checked the
system before rapping.

I'll miss your "70m" which was really more like 65 with stretch.

I'll miss that you hand-stitched your climbing pants with patches of cloth
instead of buying new ones.

I'll miss stopping with you to pick up fresh eggs on the way home.

I'll miss having a partner willing to climb in 100 degrees; and
I'll miss that you carried salt pills for those days.

I'll miss those scuffed up walkie-talkies, and I'm sorry I scuffed them up on
the very first day you bought them.

I'll miss that you applied sunscreen to the back of your ankles.

I'll miss that you loved speaking French with all passersby.

I'll miss your makeshift lunch tote, from a real lunch tote cut in half with
scissors then bound with duct tape.

I'll miss squatting on a rock to eat lunch with you, always
prosciutto and cheese rolled up, sans bread.

I'll miss camping at Stu's.

I'll miss how you spotted wolf spider eyes glowing in the dark on stairmaster.

I'll miss that tiny rock hammer you carried to tap the nut tool.

I'll miss you as I take that shortcut to the crag that you showed me.

I'll miss that you drove to the Gunks so often you brought your own lumbar
support pad.

Only knew Beau for one reason and that was his vehicle.  When I first started climbing at the Gunks it always put a smile on my face when I saw his POS Geo Tracker that said Gunks or Bust parked next to the Stairmaster.  And there was rarely a day when it wouldn’t be there.

Very sorry for your loss John.

John.... wonderful thoughts of your friend, Beau.

This sport we do, will give one the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.

Beau sounds like he was the real deal rockclimber, who lived it to the max.

I offer my sincere condolences to Beau’s Family and many many friends.

Beau was a wonderful person. Kind and humble. I met him around ten years ago and we sure did some climbing together. Very sad to here he is so longer with us. I will miss him dearly...

Proud be the man whose friendship is worthy of such a eulogy.
