Rock climbing claw hands

Imagine a climbing hook that attaches to your wrist like a deadlift hook. I think it could be sweet! What do you think of this idea? Edit: Someone please make me one!!!!! I'll post a review of my experiences using it. |
uhhhh wtf |
Sounds like a good way to simultaneous handicap your climbing by putting a hook in the way AND dislocate your wrist in fall. |

if you're gonna aid climb, why don't you just aid climb regularly, in a way that won't break your wrists.. |
I recall reading somewhere that Aaron Ralston said his climbing improved after cutting his arm off and installing a hook. |

So I should cut my hands off to send my proj? |
That's gold Jerry! Gold! |

its been done for decades -- with ice tools |

Hey uhh... That's called dry tooling. |

I remember I was 12, and the 6th grade class was taking a climbing trip ('cause we're awesome). I brought along all sorts of weird things I found that my older brother left when he moved out, including what looked like claws used for climbing trees (I called them Ninja Accessories, 'cause I was 12), and a big old knife. I almost brought his grappling hook, too. I had a lot of enthusiasm for the trip. |
