Banshee belay w/ only rope?

Not effectively in my experience, and I did try.  There are various handling problems, but the most awkward is the need to pay out one strand while taking in the other.  A single munter is either in pay-out mode or take-in mode but not both, so a lot of flipping of the knot has to take place to manage this task.

I meant to say twin rope technique. Thanks for pointing out.

I mostly use my half/twins as twins and misspoke!
