Wisco holy trinity, anyone ever do it in a day?

Whiskey @ Necedah
Ice @ Devils Lake
Secret Agent Man @ G’Dodge

And by Wisco, I mean southern WI, we all know Willow is a Minnesota crag.

Doing "Ice" alone would be impressive.... Ha!

I know.

Also, Ice is way harder than either of those sport climbs.

Lead or TR?

@DL, a TR counts for that grade. The other spots, lead obviously.

A buddy of mine gave it a shot once instead of ice he tried rubberman. He wasn’t close but hit all three spots and gave it a shot. I could see doing whisky and SAM, but anything graded 5.13 at the lake is gonna be way HARDER than whisky and SAM. It’d be cool to do so much good hard climbing in one day.

How about Modern Art? Or Steak Sauce on lead?

Edit: After looking at the DL "hard" list I think Bagatelle on TR would be best for this Trinity. Doable for a strong non-DL climber and known for classic moves.

I like your call.

The sandstone lowly holy Trinity

A Red Recollection, The Dodge
Straight No Chaser, Necedah
Kingdom Come, Fishin’ Crag

The quartzite holy moly trinity

Steak Sauce
The Good, the Bad, and the Jacked
All the Way

Lead ‘em. There is nothing holy about top roping. Sinfully fun maybe. I’d never seen that weekend whipper on Whiskey. What a slapper!

Let's see, I have led All the Way a number of times. Led Steak Sauce once. I'm almost there on JJ's quartzite holy moly trinity. I guess I gotta head back to the old country for the last one . ( All the Way is kinda light isn't it , throw in Cheap thrills, Bagatelle, and Peyote Blues for the real deal. No , I haven't led those.......yet)  ;)

What's the prize . A weekend at the trailer park ?

Has anybody climbed every sport route in a day at the Qual Wall? Seems doable if you can send Secret Angent Man more or less on command. Excluding the starless routes.

jon, nice post.  i love these kinds of lists.  we will have to do one for MN, including our favorite adopted choss crag, willow river.

Bumping for Randy's idea. What routes do you think would qualify as a Minnesota holy trinity?

I would count any ascent of Bagatelle as holy.  Hell, I’m impressed if anyone can get up the damned thing.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
