Besides unless you’re in Richmond or Surrey on a Sunday morning the airport takes 28 red lights and forever to get to. So Vancouver is not cheap or close to the airport.

I live in the city of Vancouver proper, and not near the airport. As long as it is not rush hour I can get to the airport in 15-20 minutes and only have to go through about a dozen traffic lights.

It's funny how many people in this thread are just touting their own/home towns. Albany? Burlington? Albuquerque? lol.
I would tout my own town as an amazing climbing destination, except it's in one of the worst performing, least employable, highest obesity, worst drinking water, most Trump supporting states in the nation. The climbing and whitewater are kind of cool, though.

Hmmm, I'll be the first to admit that Abq. is a hideous, crime ridden and economically depressed place. But, if you are looking for a cheap place with a good airport and a good amount of nearby year around climbing, why not?

Vegas - Oppressively hot during the summer, but climbable most of the winter... I have one pal who "migrated" between Bishop and there fairly seasonally for a while. Nice work if you can get it.

The coyote in Tucson love cats. We’ve had two cats go live with them... not a good place.
