Albarracin in late May- transportation, access, weather, etc.

Spending a week in Valencia later this month. I'm wondering if it would be worth my while to visit Albarracin. Any public transportation options or is it too off the beaten path? Do I need to rent a car?
I see that the weather isn't too warm in late May but you never know.

If anyone's heading that way May 22nd to 25th, I'd be happy to join, locals or visitors!
