since everyone has mentioned it, I would like to add a photo i took from the start of pigeon spire. note, the views only get better.

PS i like these kinds of posts, they lead to "To-Do" additions. Which is what led me to the bugs.

There is no wrong answer, ( A start would be:  5.\-5.8 being the definition of easy, with 5.9 - 5.11a being moderate and then 3 degrees of hard.
I could name 20 off the top of my head.
Yellow Spur

Climber on the top of the Yellow Spur.

I have fond memories of 8 Flake at Reimers. But nowadays I'm more likely to rank aesthetics against the summit of Royal Flush under a full moon around midnight.

I would vote one for the Petite Grepon. That last pitch to topping out is wild.

The Cirque Traverse was wild, simply because of the position and the views.

Symmetry Spire and Buckingham Ridge in the Teets.

Looking Glass. The eyebrow climbing on the Nose is other worldly.

No it is asking for what you think is most aesthetically pleasing moderate route... not the most beautiful place on earth.

Most of these routes being listed don't fall under the criteria of "moderate." I would considerate 5.9 the absolute lower limit. Otherwise this thread should be called "Most aesthetically pleasing REALLY EASY routes."

Personal favorites: East Buttress of El Cap, Harding Route of Conness, Oz to Gram traverse

The Tree Route on The Dome by the Needles. Probably one of the best 5.6's in the country.

I'd say the most aesthetic moderate is Silence (5.15d) in Hanshelleren Cave.

Southeast Buttress of Cathedral Peak in Tuolumne Meadows. Pretty easy approach, mellow climbing, amazing rock, incredible views...

Here are three in Scotland that are as aesthetically pleasing as they are moderate:

Squareface on Mitre Ridge (Cairngorms)

Agag's Groove on Buchaille Etive More (Glen Coe)

Rose Route on the west buttress of Suilven (Lochinver) -- never a line for this one!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
