Just give us a "sort by" option.  Everyone wins

Bring back the old system, it worked just a fine!

Exactly. Very poor idea. As I add new items for sale, I cannot use same thread.

I prefer the old method.

Old way was quick to check if someone responded to your post. There it was back up to the top. Now you either go to "your page" or try to find the post somewhere in the depths. If you could choose the page you want and go directly to it that would be a big help. At the present it takes awhile to navigate page by page to the desired one. Very cumbersome!

Other improvements:

Posting photo's:

- Allow pasting photographs when creating a post.

- Adding photo's on Facebook pages allows selecting multiple photo's to be posted in one operation. Highlight, post, done!

- At present, the toolbar is not fixed at the top. It floats with the developing post so as you add content it soon diasappears and you need to scroll up to reuse it. It would be better if it were fixed in place separate from the post your creating for quick access. Now as your post develops, the bar is soon lost to sight. So for example, if your posting multiple pictures, you need to scroll up to click image, then scrool down to check that the image has arrived, place the cursor for the next, then scrool back up to select next image. Same with going back and highlighting for bold characters. The further down you get the longer scrooling up and down takes. A good model would be as they do it on the "Backpackinglight" website.

this plus searching within a particular forum would be best

couldn't even find this one so that I could post my opinion because it moved down onto the second page even though it's the most commented on thing in the for sale section. Do I make my point?

Now on Page 2, will be interesting to see how many more replies happen here as it descends into obscurity.

Can we just set rules as to how often you can bump your thread to the top?

Old is good. Be nice to have an option for either.

So, when are you going to fix your mistake?

Well now I'm back from a trip to Red Rocks...

Thanks for the feedback everyone - it's been reverted to the Old Way.  I may add sort options for either system some time in the future, but not now.

Yikes, prefer the old way, but I'm down for a little change now and then. Thanks Nick! There were certainly some benefits, and it would be cool to have a 48hr bump limit, maybe a 48hr topic limit, too... Anyways, thanks for maintaining. Hope RR was dope!

Happy to see it's back to the better, original system. The "new way" blew chunks.
