"For Sale is sorted by latest topic instead of latest reply."

Note once this thread moves below top position, when you post to this thread it does not rise to the top. Neither buyers nor sellers nor those posting for WANTED gear have the ability to bump a post to the top.

I like it.  Easier to see new stuff quicker.

With current website functionality I think this is a bad idea. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't find a way to search only the for sale forum. If I search for "ultralight mastercams" I will get hits from all other forums and have to sift through them. Better to let motivated sellers move up their posts by bumping than by starting new threads. IF the search function could be limited to just the for sale forum, I think the change to "no-bumping" would be fine.

The good:

Keeps your new post up front for longer visibility without needing to bump so frequently.

The bad:

After your post works its way to say page 6, it requires you to do a repost to bring it back to the forefront. This could lead to lots of duplicate postings, untold choas and a break down of law and order if poster doesn't delete the original.

I'm not a fan.  I prefer the way it was done before.

100% preferred the old setup both as a buyer and seller.

Not a huge fan. It's a good idea but in reality all it's going to create is people making duplicate threads for the same items. It's already started happening.

Another vote for bumping rather than reposting

Definitely prefer the old way. Pretty sure the majority would agree.

I agree that this new format is terrible and confusing.

The old way is definitely preferred.

And a method for searching just For Sale would be extremely helpful

Old is better, and search for only for sale would be ideal

Old method, or the option to choose how posts are ordered. Whether by newest posting or newest topic.
