Is Black Velvet still getting hit with theft?

Hi folks. Last year and recently there was a high concentration of vehicles being broken into at the black velvet canyon parking, I was wondering if this is still happening? 

I've parked there 4-5 times in the past month and didn't see any evidence of recent break ins despite lots of vehicles being parked there.  There is broken glass in a couple of places, but it doesn't seem too fresh. (granted I'm no expert at dating broken glass)

Definitely a nice pile of broken glass at the upper lot as of Sunday...didn't get my forensic kit out to date the break-in though.
