Heading up there weekend of March 23rd to ski and climb. Looks like skiing will be good. How bout the ice? Any insight is appreciated! Thank you.

I was there 1 week ago and the pamola cliffs were in. Cilley Barber reportedly thin.

Soooo much snow in there right now. We were in there a little less than a week ago and didn’t even both on any alpine climbs. Just breaking trail up to the base is going to probably take hours. We tried to hike up Dudley trail and got about 1.5 miles in 4 hours. Chest deep snow all around. Then they got another 30 inches.

At the time the snow was super light and unconsolidated but any wind that comes in is going to create a lot of wind loading and potential avy danger.

As mentioned, Cilley-Barber is supposedly thin, but we didn’t get a good look. We will be heading in again in about a week, but we will be bringing our at setups to ski!

Ideally, we would climb and ski! Looks like the weather is going to stay relatively good. Anyone seen any trip reports from last weekend?
