Is the Valley covered in snow?  Will it be climbable this weekend, or should I head south?

Note: there was a party on the Rostrum's N Face yesterday. Snow on ledges and cold temps but they were getting it done.

Good resource for temps on Valley floor: https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lon=-119.62338743091821&lat=37.728731163498026

Thanks! Looks like it’s probably wet all throughout northern CA this weekend. Is it ok to climb at Sonora Pass the day after it rains? I’m not too familiar with the rock type or ethics there.

No ethical concerns on wet granite!

The Rostrum is closed for bird nesting until mid-summer: https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/climbingclosures.htm

And FWIW, if you get up on a route when the birds are nesting, you'll be in for a rather terrifying experience - they're effing aggressive - got to meet them on Wawona Dome once (birds not known to nest there at the time).

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
