I was looking to go to CedarRock on Sunday the 18. Would anything by dry or climbable? Is there a better place to go to find dry rock a day after it rains?

Rumbling bald probably drys much faster

But yeah many routes will be wet!

The quary near hiddenite NC ( called rocky face) dries really fast and is highly top ropeable

Brevard is a wonderful place but one of the wettest in the area

Don’t do it. I could not think of a worse place to go after rain. And I think the Bald will be closed (the parking lot) for the bouldering comp.

Shortoff in linville dries quickly.

Big Rock in SC dries very quickly.

Cedar would be one of the worst choices as most routes are water grooves.

If you hike to the top of Looking Glass, you’ll be able to see water sheeting down the north side of cedar from miles away.

Thanks guys. I figured it was a no-go but it's been a couple years since I've been to Cedar and couldn't remember a ton about it.

Both Cathy’s creek (rd access to Cedar rock) and 475b (access to looking glass) are closed right now due to rain and vehicles driving on the roads when not supposed to. Unknown when either roads will open back up.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
