Planning on going to Stone Mountain tomorrow. Is there any kind of winter closures currently in effect?

I was just there, no closures. There are some trail closures, but they don’t affect the climbing (unless you are planning to hike back down to the Farm, the stairs are closed)

Hey guys, provided there are calm winds and full sun, what are the lowest sane temps for Stone?

I’ve climbed there with highs in the low 40’s, lows in the 20’s on a sunny calm day and been quite comfy. You could probably be fine in the high 30’s if you don’t mind frozen fingers :-) Sunshine vs cloudy is the biggest factor. The sun bakes that wall.

30degrees and sunny can be fine. Bring an extra fleece and belay gloves etc

I would say sunny, calm winds, and temps getting into the 40s would be comfortably cool. Of course depending on your cold tolerance, you'll want to layer to your comfort level.

Not like there's anything to grab up there...

Thanks, we ended up climbing with it cloudy and it never reached 17 degrees. It was definitely something.
