Sterling Ropes??

Is the sterling velocity a good all around rope?

It has been for me.

I’ve been using a Sterling Kosmos 10.2 60m for two seasons of sport and trad and it’s held up really well.

The velocity is a great rope, handles extremely well. The first time I belayed with it (dry version) it put a smile on my face as it was probably the most "fun" belay I've ever given, just feeling how smoothly the rope feeds and how perfectly supple it is. A figure 8 follow thru dresses really nicely cause the rope is just as stiff and supple as it needs to be, not too much one way or the other. I've only had great experiences with this rope and so far it looks like it's gonna age very well, durability on point so far.

Yes, they are the bomb.

The Velocity pretty much sets the high bar for 9.8 to 10.0 mm ropes.  Has a really nice "hand".  More durable than most other ropes of comparable diameter alto mine has strangely developed a 'flat' section.  All good if the high(er) price is not an issue.
