My friend and mentor, Alexander Kenan, died while attempting the Grand Traverse in GTNP back in August. I'm selling all his gear and making a donation to the Carolina Climber's Coalition. He loved buying and selling gear on this forum. I remember constantly asking him to put down his phone as he beamed about just scoring a great deal on some cam hooks or c4s. Now his gear is finding it's way back to this forum once again. Hopefully you can snag a deal. Here's a spreadsheet listing all the gear. Please note the multiple tabs along the bottom. If it's blacked out, it's sold. If it's grayed out, sale is pending. I'll consider bundle deals if you're buying a substantial amount of gear. Please understand I am not profiting from any sale; all money is going to the Carolina Climber's Coalition. There's a ton of stuff here and I don't have the time or patience to haggle with you (It's Creek season, after all). Buyer pays shipping. I have pictures of everything, but it would have been a pain to upload them all. I'll upload each upon request. I hope Alexander had something you will use for many years to come. |

This is a great thing you are doing. Everyone who is looking for gear should look here first. Well done, and what a great way to honor him while passing on his gear. |
Not gonna lie, I'm really hesitant to do this. It's like giving up a connection to Alexander. However, I know it's a huge service to his family. It may take some time for me to get back to people and be okay with letting things go; be patient. |
Cool thing that you are doing. I PMed, but take your time. |
So sorry to hear about your friend. Going to DM you about a couple items. Good on ya for doing this. |
Forgot I uploaded a ton of pics to Imgur. I had them ordered with descriptions on my computer, but it didn't transfer in the upload. Go diggin'. |
Picked up a micro traxion. Thanks, Adam. |

PM'd about most of the aid gear |

bump for a great guy and a great cause. |

I think what you are doing is great, but it kinda shocked me to see someone from Utah to be making donations to my local CCC. How are you involved with them, or what made you want to donate to CCC? Thanks edit: I see now that Alexander was from NC. I remember reading about his accident now on ST. So sad, I'm very sorry for your loss. |

Just PM'd you about a black totem |

I met Alexander in the Bugaboos in July. What a guy! I recognized his unique American flag sunglasses that he converted for use as glacier glasses with duct-tape side shields from CascadeClimbers posts about soloing Liberty Ridge on Rainier and North Ridge of Baker. He was getting funny looks from the Canadians with those shades. Such a humble dude! The day after I spoke to him, he blitzed the Beckey-Chouinard on South Howser with a partner in a single day, only spending 8 hours on route. As I was descending the Bugaboo-Snowpatch col on rappel, I looked over to see Alexander casually walking down the steep slope, making the rest of us feel a little ridiculous. He had incredible talent and was certainly bold, too. I was really sad to hear of his passing, but he was living life to the absolute fullest. So sorry for your loss OP, he seemed like a great person. |

PM'ed for some random items. So sorry for your loss, but this is a great thing you are doing. Hopefully it all sells. |
Thanks for the interest y'all. I'm going to ship some things out tomorrow morning and reply to any emails I currently have. I'll be out of town this weekend, but will check the backlog on Monday. Know that my inbox is bursting and it might take a while to get back to you. |
I'm about to send you pm on an assortment of gear, but no rush to get back. Thanks for your time. |
PM'ed on Direkt 2 tent and prolite sleeping pad. |
Gear added (Sleeping bag, expedition bag, Grivel ice tool, snow shoes, climbing shoes, trail runners/approach shoes, down jacket, rain jacket, insulated pants). Alexander's father has all those items. He's sent me some pictures, but I'm relying on his descriptions and condition evaluations. |

PM'ed on a variety of items. This is a great service that you are providing to CCC and fellow climbers; thanks for taking the time to do this. |
