Chamonix Beta

Partner and I are headed to Chamonix next week for the first time, and looking for any beta/recommendations.  It sounds like things have been dry this summer with rockfall and glacier conditions.  We were thinking of hiking back to Refuge de l'Envers des Aiguilles, staying a couple of nights, and doing some of the long crack routes.  

Any info is appreciated!
