How many of you are employing this technique?

It can be seen pretty clearly here in this video

Once every month or so, Vas shows up and trolls this site. I didn't watch the video, and maybe there's a serious point, but I just figure he's getting his fix somehow.

No harm in that. I love watching people blow up over trolls.

Rock on, Vas!

Clearly?  Idk.  All I can see is two people rapping on Gris with a long sling between them that's employed somehow for some reason.

Tethering together is often used to eliminate the typical risk of simul raps. Not to say this eliminates all risk, but in theory it prevents folks from dropping themselves by opening the device fully (you're stuck to your partner). Can also eliminate complications from one person inadvertently unweighting their strand and removing the counterbalance. Not a perfect system, and still sub-optimal and generally preferred to just rap normally.

Another half-ass solution to a Gri problem. Ditch the Gri.

Dumb. And what is that annoying clanking noise throughout the video? The photographer's gear?

There is no "Gri" problem. Only people who don't know how to use them.

That's the problem.

If one person raps of the end of the (unknotted) rope, a tether isn't going to save either one of them.

What "double clutching"? At what time do you clearly see it?

Nor the greatest.

I can't understand why we've taken a dangerous technique and have made it more dangerous. People who fret over equalizing two 3/8" bolts, shock loading and micro fractures will happily simul rap. I don't get it.

What's with the enormous backpack? Also, this dude has mad skills to be able to manage the selfie stick during this sketchy-ass procedure.
