Accident on Dome in BC

Not much detail in article. Anyone know what happened? Climber seriously injured? |

https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/COBOULDER/bulletins/1af16b6 gives a bit more |

Thread a few days ago. Yeah, not much info. Maybe someone will post up. Nothing on Rocky Mountain Rescue site either, even though they were there. I think BCC is a place in Utah, Big Cottonwood Canyon, not Boulder. |

Hope the climber is doing OK. The Owl is a tricky old-school route. 5.7 R. Not to be underestimated. Took my first real leader fall out of the crack moves onto a red camalot, maybe 12 years ago? |

Andy Kowles wrote: Sounded from the news article like he wasn't seriously injured, so hope that's the case. The Owl is a major sandbag at 5.7 and I flailed pretty badly the only time I ever climbed it. Tricky is right. |

I don't think the owl is R climbing. it is tricky and the move out to the chickenheads is spicy but the gear is there when you need it. |
