I've had experience with this vendor several times over the years.
It has always been positive.

Likewise, this is a very good thin rope.
Not sure where else you are going to buy an 80M for $155

The 70M is $5 cheaper:

Or for that matter a 9.3mm bicolor in 60M (though who wants a rope that short?):

I've got no stake in this, but like I said, I've had many good experiences with this vendor and the prices are great, so I'm passing on the info.
Here's the rest of what they have:

just a heads up; I bought that same 80m rope(different vendor) for $145. While it was nice to get a super cheap 80m rope, I will say that the bluewater icon is a piece of garbage.

I've been using it for 2 years as my main workhorse and it is quite annoying to handle. It is a skinny rope made to take abuse so the sheath is thicker than you would expect. I am inclined to believe that is the reason why it is very stiff and handles poorly. I've used 9.8s that are easier to handle than this thing.

The price is amazing and it being an 80m rope means it can survive multiple cuts(I'm 2 cuts in and down to 72m) before needing to be retired; but in the future I think I'm going to spend the extra cash to get a more supple rope which handles better.

For reference, I use a mammut smart alpine but friends have complained when using a gri gri on my rope.

Sounds like we have very different experiences with the Icon.  It is my 'light' rope of choice for the last few years.  Wears well and it a bit stiff for a 9.1, but I like it.
Jo, Kat, Bill, and other friends are all using the same ropes now, from the same guy (though we all have bicolor and paid more for that).

Anyway, buyer preferences notwithstanding, the price is very good, shipping is free, and the vendor has been reliable.

Thanks for the heads-up. I miss the old days of the "Dirtbag Deals" affiliate links. :-(

I've also bought several ropes (mostly short cuts of static to use as rigging) from Gringoflojo and have never had anything but good experiences. I'm pretty sure it's someone either working directly for Bluewater or immediately related to them because the seller only carries Bluewater ropes.

It is BMO rescue in UT.  They are getting the 'last year's colors' sort of BW stock.
Backcountry.com also does it for similar terms/price.

Just bought one from them as well, great experience. Hate to expose such good deals, but it isn't like its hard to find them on Ebay in the first place. I didn't realize they were out of date, will have to check the manufacturer's date on mine. I don't suppose it probably makes much difference as long as the rope isn't 10 yrs old, which they clearly aren't.

Out of date just means last years model, just back stock Bluewater doesn't send out to retailers. They are out of Carrollton, GA, not UT.

Been waiting for this seller to have a 80m dry 9.3mm Wave... Sounds like there are other options to buy new old stock? Anyone wanna provide some hints to me? :)

Their eBay id says they're "Just Rescue" based in Carrelton, GA. That's also the hometown of Bluewater ropes. https://www.bluewaterropes.com/contact/

Correct and correct.
I was mixing up BC.com and BMO Rescue in terms of location.

It is also fact that they are BMO...  (Blackjack Mountain Outfitters)
http://shop.blackjackmountainoutfitters.com/main.sc

I know this from having placed non-ebay orders with their management (Jonathan).

Save the 'search' on Ebay and also check BC.com.
You can also write them @

I've bought two ropes from them as well about a year ago.  You can't beat the prices, the shipping is fast, just another buyer with great experiences.

I presume that you do understand that those ropes are gone when gone so there won't be a rope there.
What you need to do is save a search/watch for such an item.
IE: climbing rope, 80m, bicolor
