My partner and I had to surrender a draw to Peanut Brittle in Smith Rock (The Peanut). Would greatly appreciate its safe return!!

Shame shame shame. You were bested by the rock and it is shameful to come here and ask for a single draw back. Should have just left a single carabiner.

That draw is 100% USDA certified booty

Why the whole draw though and not just a biner?

Yeah, kinda figured that's the response I would get, but doesn't hurt to try. Noob's gonna noob. First piece of gear I've been involved in the loss of so I felt bad.  Maybe I should update the title to 'Free draw' haha.

For sure, I would try too. You can rap off a hanger with a sling and retrieve the sling after you slowly pull your rope...

It happens.  Just take a moment to learn how to switch out a quickdraw for a bail biner as its a pretty useful sport climbing skill. Carabiners are cheap. I would not rap off a sling as mentioned above as its mostly an unnecessary risk (to save a sling/carabiner) in what is really a relatively straight forward situation.

Rapping off a sling is not any big deal, there is not any additional risk, it just takes some additional time.

Are you sure you were on Peanut Brittle? I picked up a poor lost draw at Smith yesterday, but not on the Peanut.

Yeah, it was definitely on the Peanut. Thanks for checking!
