My 15yr old half dome is basically what the REI passage is now. Very basic design which is super easy to set up even if its dark and you're drunk.

Plus if it bites the dust im pretty sure all REI branded gear is guaranteed for life?

I've had an REI Quarter Dome 1 (single person tent) for about 18 months and I love it.  Good chance I'll buy REI if I need a 2-person tent in the future.  (To be fair I haven't tried a ton of other tents).
