What was the point of this a really poorly done student film or something?

I think the symbolism was kinda lost on me ...pretty intense though! When it started to rain I felt so bad for her lol. Someone has some a pretty good eye for cinematography though I thought it was pretty well constructed .

I was hella waiting for an end credits scene though

Yeah, that's pretty much what slab climbing is like.

But it wasn't slab climbing... she was sitting on a massive ledge the entire time.... that is a massive stand up on ledge for slab climbing!

Creepy and sadistic. Not sure of the point here. Thumbs down.

Across the gap, an unknown person went through the same steps as her. First, cautiously pushing upwards with battered palms; then, a desperate roll-over destined to fail, much like wrapping a necklace around her hand (admittedly a bad idea). Could you have set the mood and told two separate stories without a word?

Unsurprisingly, the writer/director was also the cinematographer (which I bet is his biggest skill). Taken as a resume, this guy will definitely get some job offers out of this thing.

I thought it was rather evocative. It's easy to dismiss something that lacks traditional narrative structure as pointless or weird for the sake of being weird. But didn't this speak to all of us on some level?

I have a hard time believing people could watch this and not feel something once the water comes.

I don't think it was a brilliant piece of filmmaking. I did think it was kind of beautiful.

Copy of Saw style movie but lack of any story? If that gets you off whatever but not for me. I am not a fan of watching torture with no story behind it.

I have over 1000 movies on my external hard drive. I will watch pretty much anything at least once (only maybe like 20ish that were so bad I could not even finish)... this did nothing for me.

Trade in some of those movies for a book or two. Your reading comprehension isn't quite up to the knife-edged analysis you've brought to bear in the cinematic realm.

Whoever said I don't read books? Not as much as I used to due to my vision getting worst now.

Nah, in my dreams there's usually a spot for a tricam.

It's Australian made, most Untied States of Americans, are not used to "subtle"

If it's not screaming obvious, it not worth watching, to many.

I liked it, I also like that the ending is ambiguous, also nice use of hand crampons

True. I remember watching "Tomorrow: When the War Began" and thinking it was waaaay too highbrow for my lil american brain.

And they're called "handpons."

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
