Hi there!

I rented a pop up van for weekend and was looking for places to camp near climbing.  It will be kids first time climbing outdoors and camping!  Looking to stay within 1-2 hours of Boulder.

Thank You!

Escape the metro madness at 11 mile canyon.

I recall hearing about some kids crag, not far off the road up Boulder Canyon.  Bolted top anchors, and easy routes.

Maybe someone will chime in as to the name, and location.  I haven't been to this spot but remember people talking about it on a thread here..

Whale's Tail in Eldo is good for kids, some smaller slabs with bolt anchors back by Supremacy Crack in Eldo, too. "Nip and Tuck" in Boulder Canyon OK for kids, too--right on, have fun with those little punks! RC

Its pretty good, but small.  Requires some trad gear.  Kinda steep approach for 3-4 yr olds, they will need a little help (but safe approach).  But no camping options in Boulder Canyon.

I think that's it.  Sounds like a good time for parents & kids.

East Colfax in Clear Creek has 2 short 5.4-5.5 routes.  Easy approach.  No camping in CCC though.

+1 for Eleven Mile Canyon.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
