Why is finding a partner so hard?

I've tried forums. I've tried hanging out at the crag with and without gear. I've worked hard to get into magazines. I was featured on 60 freakin' Minutes. Why is finding a partner so hard?

I guess I'll go climb alone again.

Whatever it takes to share a poop tube, count me in!

First of all, you need to fill out your tick-list, because no one is going to climb with you if you don't have a tick-list. Second... do you even know how to belay? I mean, with all that free soloing, I kind of doubt you've had enough practice with ropes. I'd be sketched to climb with you. we should probably meet in a gym first so you can try the lead test.

Wait, this isn't the real Alex Honnold? Thanks for pointing that out.

It is probably just the smell from living in a van all the time.

At least Jared Leto loves you.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
