Blue Mountains in Australia

Hello!

I'll be traveling to north Sydney for work in May and taking a week of vacation from the 27th to the 1st of June. I was hoping to check out the sport climbing outside Sydney and I heard that the blue mountains have really amazing climbing. I'm looking for someone who can show me around and trade belays. I'm game to go anytime between Friday night and Wednesday.

I climb up to 5.11b here in the states (I think that's 21 on the Ewbank scale) and have my own gear. I can bring my own harness, helmet, shoes, and quickdraws and rope if needed. I can also bring a hammock and tarp setup for sleeping.

I would be happy to meet you in a gym a time or two before we go so we can climb together beforehand.

Anyone want to do a trip? Know someone who wants to do a trip? I would even be down for any day trips or a weekend trip. Thanks!

Awesome Nate, thanks for the info. That might give me a great base of operations for a long weekend. I'll definitely check it out.

join facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/SydneyClimbers/ for good partner finder resource. Check TheCrag website for reasonable info on Blue Mountains crags, also Sydney Rockies club website http://sydneyrockies.org.au/online-guidebooks/ for online guidebooks to the Sydney area inc some on Blue Mountains. I'm happy to climb with you at our local gym and depending on timing, may be able to get outdoors on a weekend too - so drop me a line if you like.
