Hey Erik, you certainly know the ropes history better than me but Adam is sponsored by Tendon and that rope looks a lot like a Tendon Lowe 9.7.  I have the same rope and it does handle more like a 9.2-9.4mm like you were guessing.

I've been meaning to post this:  I have Sir Edmund Hillary's genetic code on a floppy disc made out of dyneema.  Taking offers as we speak.

This has generated a bit of interest (I edited the rope info). I will get an email from Adam certifying that it is the Dawn Wall lead rope, no problem. I also have a signed quickdraw if anyone is interested.

Adam's ascent of the Dawn Wall is certainly one of the most remarkable ascents in Yosemite Climbing history. I feel so lucky to have been here and to have met him!
