Is it possible to rap from the tree at the top of D route with a single 70m? If not, what about down Hard Up?

The tree is at the top of the first pitch, not the second. Note the comments on the MP page-- the guy who posted the page has not updated it.

Anyway, yes, a 60 works from the tree, but I am assuming you are asking if you can rap both pitches on a 70. It's about 150' to the ground from the rings atop the second pitch, so no.

Keep in mind climbing in that whole area is closed until late summer

Guess I just missed the window though. Last year it was in April?

I forget the exact dates but I believe the warmer winter did mean an earlier start on the closure this year
