I am thinking of trying the Katana laces - I have been using size 42 TC pro for several years -- anyone comment on sizing of these shoes - should I size up/down 0.5 from the TC pro or keep same size?

Take a look at this old thread for some thoughts: mountainproject.com/v/sizin…

I just bought a pair and sized a half size down from my all-day comfort TC Pros (42.5 TC Pro, 42 Katana Lace). Seems to be a good performance fit so far.

My Katana Laces are the same size as my TC Pros.

I've had good experiences using sizesquirrel.com for shoe sizing. Check it out.

42 street

40.5 TC pro tight performance fit (almost knuckled big toe after stretch)

41.5 katana lace for comfort/thin cracks, slight curl to toe, no knuckle, room for small toes makes torquing the shoe easier. Still do thin edging decently, not ideal for hard face climbing though. Would do a 41 in them for face climbing, a 40.5 makes my big toe knuckle too much and the toe box is not high enough volume for that.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
