What are Hero Holds?

Looking at a trad climb description which mentions hero holds on overhangs.. what are they? jugs, crimps or something else?

Big jug or likewise, you'll feel like a hero hanging from it. Get on it!

Sounds like another name for Jesus Jugs.

Kinda of like "Thank God Ledge" on Regular Route on Half Dome.

Huge holds, spaced far apart on severely overhanging routes, so that you need to (and can) make big moves and feel like a badass. The kind of climbing everybody secretly prefers but thumbs their nose at because apparently tendon injuries are hip.
