Looking for people to climb with in SW Colorado area, I live in Cortez. Open to climbing around here or in the Indian Creek/Moab area.

Hey James, I'm down in the Farmington area and always looking for someone to climb with. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks!

Totally interested, and that's a short trip really. Any spots near Farmington? I'm out of town this weekend but if it's arm would love to get outside in a couple of weekends

If you ever get over here to durango, hit me up. MWF afternoons + weekends work best for me

Farmington only has some bouldering in the area and a lot more of everything out on the navajo nation. I climb mostly in Durango but also try and get out of town as much as possible. James, let me know when you have days available and maybe we can get together some time.

Hey there. I'm on a roadtrip from Boston and would love to meet up to get on some rock or ice. I am in Boulder right now and need to be in Utah 3/8 so pretty much free anytime in between. I brought lots of gear and rope but left my rack back home. Feel free to shoot me a text or call (applies to anyone who wants to climb!). 518-878-9150 -Dan

mmmm that looks like some nice dakota sandstone, if you're in to bouldering. Kinda like T-Lake. Where is that?

thanks for all the responses guys! Anyone who responded, feel free to email me or text my cell about climbing. I potentially can get out a day this weekend if the weather turns around, otherwise I'll be going to the mountains. Cell is (970) 946-7679.

20 minutes south of the casino."

Just know that you are on Ute land and they do post no trespassing signs as well as enforce that when cars are left on the side of the road. But... there is some hidden gems in the area.

I have been at it for 20 years and still find new places. I can say with confidence I have done over a thousand new problems out there. A few trad lines as well. Most in the 40 ft. range. We call it the Libidozone. Some of it roadside. The real goods involve very little hiking. Just have to explore and learn to see the good rock from a distance. If you have access to a boat Navajo reservoir has quite a few good areas.
Gonna have to hook up sometime. I just bought some land in Pagosa, was thinking a boat for the reservoir would be cool.

Got a nice 3.5 acre lot in Holiday Acres.
We're hoping to sell our place in Steamboat this summer and try and get a big garage/shop built, or at least the foundation in.

Ya, we're excited to go somewhere more chill.
Steamboat's just not what it used to be, been here 25 years.
We came really close to getting acreage in Aspen Springs, but decided HA made more sense.
Were headed somewhere in April for a month to climb and bike, if we end up going south, maybe we could hook up for a bike ride and/or beers.

s.price wrote: Not so. We climb on BLM land out there. The Ute tribe are very good at posting their land. If not we would be climbing just south of Pagosa Springs. No signs where we are climbing.
So you are climbing on the NM side then correct?

Was actually thinking Phils World or Durango, but we did ride Turkey Springs last year. It was refreshing to ride for a couple of hours without an hour climb, good for the dog too.

Beers yes.

What's Piedra like?

Sounds like a nice backyard.
I'll be in touch when we're headed that way.

Hey James, I am from Cortez and don't have friends there anymore. Sometimes, it would be nice to climb with someone when I am visiting home. Would it be ok if I write down your cell? I am developing some bouldering near my farm when I'm there.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
