Daily Flaking

So Today I was vacuuming my house. Afterwards I found myself "flaking" the vacuum cord before winding it back up... Does this happen to anyone else?

I have caught myself flaking a garden hose before.

I get upset when my wife wraps the vacuum cord incorrectly.

Only every time I have to coil something.

anybody else try to butterfly coil your earphone cords? Tried it once and it didn't work well. I have done the butterfly coil on a vacuum because I was too lazy to wind it up properly.

I have a electric plug in lawn mower. I flake the 100 ft cord onto a tarp to move it around.

Isn't it worse when you find yourself shaking out your hands before grabbing the hose to the water the lawn?

2 years in the Navy, and I still flake / coil / stow everything - works well for climbing :-)

Just finished flaking some Christmas lights.

I use Head and Shoulders. Solves that problem.

I butterfly my unused extension cords and my headphones. Works great for both.
