1) Does anyone know if California Ice is in? Ice Dragons?

2) Any recommended Alpine snow/ice routes this time of year?

Ice dragons has been climbed by a few parties as seen on SM posts.

in hopes to be able to report back after thanksgiving.

I went for a walk in the East Rosebud Canyon on Saturday.
Ice Dragons (fattest line left of center) and that whole wall was formed up nice. California Ice and anything lower down were not in condition yet.

I've heard that Funeral for a Friend and the Sphinx are being climbed as well.

I climbed the Lowe Direct a few weeks ago...it was warm but the ice was still good. Could be better now.

I will say that we bypassed the first pitch of the upper lowe direct b/c the pillar did not appear to be well bonded at the top.

Do you know if it has snowed in that area recently? I think Bridger Bowl picked up about 3-4 inches last night.

I'm not sure on that. I bet there will be at least a few inches this week.
There was no snow on the ground this last weekend.
The forecast looks good for this weekend.
