Heads Up: Penitente Canyon Closed THIS Weekend (Oct 6-9, 2016)

Hey all!

I'm one of the Race Director's for this year's 12 Hours of Penitence (www.12hoursofpenitence) mountain bike race in Penitente Canyon Recreation Area (CO, San Luis Valley).

We wanted to give everyone a heads up that the canyon and campgrounds will be closed via a BLM special use permit for the race THIS weekend (Race Date is 10/8/2016).

There are some other climbing options in the area - just check out the BLM website.
