Deep Creek (Spokane, WA) Questions

Thinking about going to Spokane this weekend to check out Deep Creek. Two questions for planning purposes (hopefully Crowe will chime in...):

1. Shade: What are the shade hours for the Main Wall and the Pit?

2. Camping: Any non-sketchy van camping options?

JCM, you likely won't need shade - it's supposed to pour rain all weekend. Luckily, Main Wall overhangs far enough that it stays dry during rain. Not sure about camping!

The Main Wall should be in the shade until around noon, and the Pit will be shady after about 1pm. Times are rough but that should give you an idea. As for camping there aren't really any options other than the campground at the Bowl and Pitcher in Riverside state park. There are plenty of trailheads that access the Centennial Trail and the ORV park but all of those have signs marking them Day Use only. Have fun...Sunday looks like it will be a great day to be out!

Perfect, thanks!

All of these routes stay fairly dry in the rain. Pit Lizard has a roof over it and should be 100% dry

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
