Traveling with my girlfriend to visit family around thanksgiving. Would love to hit the gunks for a couple days, what is te weather normally like there? It's been too long since I've lived in the area to remember thanksgiving temps..

For what's it's worth, the MUA is now closed so your only camping options are stealth or paying at one of the local campgrounds (there's another thread about camping options in the New Paltz area a few posts down).

No worries about camping, I have family less than an hour away :D

Some years it's nice (40s or even 50s), others it's cold and snowy. Hard to say. If you don't mind climbing in the low 40s and stick to single pitch good chance you'll be fine.

I would plan on bouldering and get on routes if you luck out with the weather.

From what I have seen and read of the weather predictions the rest of country is going to have a hot winter and New England+ New York will have a average if not colder winter.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
